| Comments (English): The lodge is relatively new and has the perks of being new with some cons due to lack of being established. The room is quite large with good lighting and plug points. WiFi and all. The bed is huge and probably the most comfortable I've ever slept on in the middle of the Savannah. The bathroom has clean and modern facilities. The food was tasty and had sufficient variety, but could be better overall. The staff were friendly and always at hand to serve, despite clearly not having the polish of formally trained catering staff as you would find in other lodges. The external set up of the lodge is probably its weakest feature. A lot of work is still needed to generate the sort of safari lodge atmosphere that is present in almost every other lodge. I came across Jambo Mara on an online search and was immediately struck that this place that cost half the price of the other lodges had a very good rating from previous guests. It is by no means half the quality of other lodges I have stayed at in the Mara, and so well worth a visit for the price. You can pay both online or with cash or credit card in person. The manager was very friendly, with rapid turnaround of emails through the booking process. He even facilitated a refund with no quibbles at one point when I made a mistake with payments.
